Welcome to Reach ePublishing blog, an important part of our new Reach ePublishing Microsite.
My name is Jason MacDonald, and I’ve recently taken on Product Manager role for our new line of Reach ePublishing solutions. I’ve been working at INM for over 10 years now, mainly working with our clients to build software solutions that target a wide variety of markets.
Over the past couple of months I have been working to define a vision and overall direction for the Reach ePublishing product family. Our interactions with current clients, as well as feedback directly from users have allowed us to successfully create a foundation that we can use to enhance the Reach ePublishing products.
As a first step in evolving the family of products we have achieved two very important goals. First, we’ve revised the pricing and licensing model of our Reach Docs product. This makes the product more accessible to smaller companies and significantly decreases the barrier to entry. Second, we created Reach eLibrary, a product that allows your users to search the full-text of your documents using one easy–to-use interface. eLibrary also adds some management functions that easily allow you upload, manage and categorize your documents as well as password protect your full eLibrary.
Currently we have begun a new development phase that includes several changes to the back-end architecture that will enhance the users’ overall experience by dramatically decrease the load time of documents as well as provide users with more flexibility in reading your documents.
It’s my hope that the blog will become a valuable resource for information about ePublishing as a whole and about specific product updates and functionality. I encourage you to comment on our posts and to make suggestions about content, features and functionality you would like to see.
